The construction of the unit is solid and the smooth surfaces are easy to maintain. The baskets are removable and made with non-woven fabric and industrial cardboard panels. The overall measurements of the unit are approximately 37 inches L x 16.5 inches W x 17.25 inches H, with open shelf areas measuring 17 inches W x 14.75 inches L x 9.75 inches H, and basket areas measuring 11-1/8 inches W x 15 inches L x 5-5/8 inches H. Assembly is required, and the unit features a non-toxic painted finish. When stacking multiple bins, be sure to use the included safety brackets to secure the units together. For added safety and stability, especially when stacking three or more bins high, consider using wall anchor/furniture safety straps (not included) to secure the units to the wall.
